Baseball adds All-Conference honors to end their season

WEST POINT, Ga. (May 3, 2023)- The Appalachian Athletic Conference announced the All-Conference honors for baseball on Wednesday, May 3. Multiple Players on the baseball team received honors in the following categories: Second Team All-Conference, Champions of Character Award, and the All-Academic Team.
Baseball season ends in Kingsport, Tenn.

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (May 2, 2023) – The Point University baseball team traveled to Kingsport, Tenn. to take on the #10 seed, Columbia International University Rams in the AAC conference baseball tournament play-in game. The Skyhawks would fall to the Rams in walk-off fashion, 3-2.
Baseball splits on Senior Day, but drops last AAC regular season series to CIU

WEST POINT, Ga. (April 28, 2023) – The Point University baseball team would play a AAC conference doubleheader at home against Columbia International University. The Skyhawks would split the doubleheader by losing the first game, 9-7 and winning the second game, 7-6. CIU would win the series 2-1 with their win yesterday in Game 1 and Game 2 victories.

WEST POINT, GA., (April 27, 2023) – The Point University baseball played Game 1 of their three-game series against Columbia International University this Thursday. The Skyhawks would drop a heart breaker by the score of 7-6.

WEST POINT, Ga. (April 21, 2023) – The Point University baseball team played a three-game AAC conference series Thursday and Friday at home against Union. The Skyhawks would lose the series by losing Game 1, 11-2, winning Game 2, 6-0 and losing Game 3, 6-1.

COCHRAN, Ga. (Apr. 18, 2023)- The Point University Baseball team returned to action as the Skyhawks traveled for a non-conference game against Middle Georgia State University. The Skyhawks fell to the Knights with a final score of 13-2.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 15, 2023) – The Point University baseball team would head on the road this weekend to play a three-game series against Milligan. Due to weather conditions Friday and Sunday in the Johnson City, Tenn. area, forced both teams to only play a doubleheader on Saturday. The Skyhawks would split with the Buffs while winning game one, 6-4 (12 innings) and losing game 2, 4-3 to split the series.

Knoxville, Tenn. (April 1, 2023) – The Point University baseball team went to Knoxville, Tenn. to play a three-game series against Johnson University and would lose 2 out of 3 games. The Skyhawks would lose game 1, 9-4 and game 2, 10-3. The Skyhawks would take game three by a score of 14-1.
Baseball dethrones Knights in weekend AAC sweep

GRAYSON, Ky. (March 26, 2023) – The Point University baseball team played a weekend road series against Kentucky Christian University and would come away with the sweep. The Skyhawks would win Game 1, 17-11 on Saturday and would play a doubleheader on Sunday. In Game 2 of the series they would win, 2-0 (11 innings) and win Game 3, 10-1.

WEST POINT, Ga. (March 14, 2023) – The Point University baseball team played a non-conference game against the #25 Faulkner and won 15-5 in a seven-inning mercy rule.

CLEVELAND, Ga. (March 11, 2023) – The Point University baseball team played Games 2 and 3 of their AAC conference series on the road against Truett-McConnell and would lose both games by scores of 13-9 (Game 2) and 7-6 (Game 3). The Bears of Truett-McConnell would sweep the Skyhawks this weekend.
