Point University Softball Faces Setback at the Gulf Shores Invitational

GULF SHORES, Ala. (March 7th-8th, 2025) - The Point University Softball Team traveled to Gulf Shores, Ala. to compete in the Gulf Shores Invitational. To kick off the series, the Skyhawks played Central Methodist (MO) on Friday at 10:00 AM with a final score of 10-1. Shortly after, Lindsey Wilson took the win over Point with a score of 8-3. Continuing the series, on Saturday, the Skyhawks battled against Central Baptist (AR) but unfortunately were not able to overcome them resulting in a 4-1 loss. Lastly, the Skyhawks ended the Gulf Shores Invitational with a tough loss against Saint Xavier 18-3.

Point Softball Splits the Cola Classic Tournament

COLUMBIA, SC. (Feb. 7-8, 2025) - Point University Women’s Softball competed in the Cola Classic in Columbia South Carolina this weekend. The Skyhawks faced a tough start falling 12-0 against Rio Grande. During the second game, Point came out on top against Columbia International with a score of 5-4. On Saturday, the Skyhawks continued the weekend series against Spartanburg Methodist sealing a win of 4-2 and the following game against Columbia College resulted in 3-1 favoring the Koalas.
Point Softball Move to a 1-1 Record After the Season Opener Against Lagrange College

WEST POINT, Ga. (Feb. 4th, 2025) - Point University's women's softball team endured a challenging outing against Lagrange College during their regular season face-off at home. During the first game, the Skyhawks fell 9-1 to the Panthers and in a tightly contested second game, Point claimed a hard-earned victory over Lagrange College with a final score of 2-1.
Point Softball Releases its 2025 Schedule

WEST POINT, Ga. (Dec. 26, 2024) - The Point University Softball team has announced its 2025 Season Schedule as the Skyhawks look to prepare for their 14th season as a program and their second year as a member of the Southern States Athletic Conference. The Softball team will be led by Head Coach Jennifer Tyler who enters her 14th season at the helm and will be joined by a new face in Christina Ezell as the assistant coach. Coach Todd Striblin looks to make his return as the other Assistant Coach to help with the development of the players. Coach Jennifer Tyler enters the season with 10 returners and 11 newcomers on the roster with high anticipation of competing with some of the best teams in the SSAC and the NAIA.
