NAIA names 26 Student-Athletes from Point on the Daktronics NAIA Fall Scholar-Athletes

WEST POINT, Ga. (Nov. 26, 2024) - The NAIA recently announced the Daktronics NAIA Fall Student-Athletes where the Skyhawks had 26 Student-Athletes featured on the list. The honor recognizes student-athletes nationally who have met the requirements academically from football, cross country, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s soccer, and Volleyball. To qualify, a Student-Athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended the institution for one full year. Overall in the NAIA, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball, and Men’s Soccer had over 1,000 Daktronics Student-Athletes named with 1,328, 1,105, and 1,043 scholar-athletes.

Men’s Soccer drops season finale to Faulkner

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (Oct. 24, 2024)—The Point University Men’s Soccer team returned to the pitch for their season finale in the state capital against Faulkner University. The Skyhawks fell to the Eagles with a final score of 4-1.

MARIETTA, Ga. (Oct. 21, 2024)—The Point University Men’s Soccer team returned to the pitch for an afternoon Southern States Athletic Conference matchup against Life University. The Skyhawks fell to the Running Eagles with a final score of 7-0.

WEST POINT, Ga. (Oct. 16th, 2024) - Point University fought hard in their last home game of the season against William Carey. The Skyhawks defended their team strongly but fell to the Crusaders with a final score of 1-0.

WEST POINT, Ga (Oct. 9th, 2024) - Point University returned to the River Bowl Stadium for a Southern States Athletic Conference fight against Thomas University. The Skyhawks started strong but ultimately fell to the Night Hawks with a final score of 3-1.

Simon Niksch has found himself with great recognition due to his recent play in goal against Reinhardt University. Niksch was named the Southern States Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for Men’s Soccer.
