Point Football releases the 2024 Football Schedule

WEST POINT, Ga. (May 13, 2024) - The Point University Football Team has released their schedule for the 2024 Football Season. The Skyhawks are coming off a 4-7 (3-3 AAC) season, where Point looks to leap in the 2024 Season under Head Coach Trevor Zeiders who enters his third season in charge. The Skyhawks will have five home games for the 2024 season and look forward to bringing an atmosphere to Ram Stadium in Valley, Alabama.
Gabe Johnson appointed as Point’s next Head Men’s Basketball Coach

WEST POINT, Ga. (May 8, 2024) - The search for a new Head Men’s Basketball coach has concluded as Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics, Jaunelle White has appointed Gabe Johnson as the next Head Coach for the Men’s Basketball Program at Point University. White knew with Johnson’s love for the Lord and his drive as a Coach fit the Mission Statement for the institution. White mentioned, “We had an extremely competitive candidate pool; however, it was apparent to the committee that Gabe’s love for the Lord, experience, tenacity, and drive was exactly what we needed to continue our pursuit of excellence. I’m excited about the future of our men’s basketball program.”
Point Baseball falls to William Carey in final SSAC Tournament Game

JACKSON, Tenn. (May 3, 2024) - The Point University Baseball team returned to the field for their third game of the Southern States Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament against William Carey University where the Skyhawks fell to the Crusaders with a final score of 8-2.
Point Softball ends season at the SSAC Tournament

DECATUR, Ala. (May 3, 2024) - The Point University Softball team returned to the field for an Elimination game at the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament against #5-seeded Stillman College where the Skyhawks fell to the Tigers with a final score of 9-1.
Point Softball splits on Day One at the SSAC Tournament

(May 2, 2024) - The Point University Softball team returned to the field for Day One of the Southern States Athletic Conference Softball Tournament where the Skyhawks took on UT Southern and Middle Georgia State University. Point took the first game from UT Southern with a final score of 2-1 and dropped their second game against Middle Georgia with a final score of 6-2.

Julio Lopez earned Pitcher of the Week honors for the final week.

Jordan Palmer earns Second Team All-Conference in Women’s Flag Football

WEST POINT, Ga. (Apr. 24, 2024) - The Sun Conference recently announced All-Conference honors where Jordan Palmer earned a spot as a Second Team All-Conference Player for Special Teams. This award is the first all-conference award in Program history for the Skyhawks but will certainly not be the last.
#16 Men’s Golf places fifth at the SSAC Championships

GREENVILLE, Ala. (Apr. 24, 2024) - The No. 16 Ranked Men’s Golf team returned to the course to compete in the Southern States Athletic Conference Championships which began on Monday, April 22nd, and wrapped up on Wednesday, April 24th. The Skyhawks placed fifth out of nine teams.

Brewton-Parker took Game Three with a final score of 2-1.
