
Men’s Soccer unable to soar past the Running Eagles
MARIETTA, Ga. (Oct. 21, 2024)—The Point University Men's Soccer team returned to the pitch for an afternoon Southern States Athletic Conference matchup against Life University. The Skyhawks fell to the Running Eagles with a final score of 7-0.
The first half opened with the Skyhawks looking to match the intensity of Life as Joao Tiago Sousa took an early shot on goal. The Running Eagles responded with two consecutive goals to put the Skyhawks on their heels with a 2-0 score going into the half. Life University continued its offensive firepower as the Running Eagles opened with two goals. Point looked to regain their composure but would be unable to match Life's intensity, resulting in the Running Eagles adding three more goals to end the match with a final score of 7-0.

Life outshot Point with 22 total shots and 10 on goal compared to the Skyhawks' eight total and four on goal. Achraf Majhadi, Joao Tiago Sousa, and Moritz Dalpiaz each took a shot on goal for Point. In goal, Simon Niksh tallied three saves on the evening.
