
Men's Soccer adds Senior Day Shutout over Brewton-Parker
WEST POINT, Ga (Sept. 21, 2024) - Point University returned to the River Bowl Stadium in a battle against Brewton Parker College. Point continued to fight for a win on their senior night resulting in a final score of 4-0.
Point started strong offensively with a shot made by Gihong Kang within the first minute of the game but came up short. This offensive energy stirred up Tommy Eskew to add the first score on the board with the assist of Gihong Kang. At the end of the first half, both teams made offensive plays by making multiple shots.
In the second half, Point takes off with two goals in 5 minutes of each other. Gihong Kang makes the second goal of the game with an assist by Joao Tiago Sousa and then jumps right back into action with a third goal assisted by Tom Liebherr. Toward the end of the half, Point takes advantage of one more scoring opportunity when Griffin Montroy makes the fourth goal assisted by Tommy Eskew. Point continued being offensively aggressive, yet Brewton Parker's defense put up a good fight with the continuous shots on goal. Although their efforts did not go unnoticed, Point earned the win with a final score of 4-0.

Brewton Parker had three total shots with zero on goal, while Point took 28 shots with 13 on goal. Gihong Kang had two goals and Tommy Eskew and Griffin Montroy both had one.
