Faith Pearson Gineris was promoted to head coach of the Point University volleyball team in April of 2021, serving as the interim head coach for the spring portion of the 2020-21 season. In the fall of 2020, Pearson served as the program's assistant coach. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020-21 season was split into fall and spring seasons.

In the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament in the spring of 2021, the Skyhawks upset the AAC Regular Season Champions, Bryan, to advance to the semifinal match, giving Gineris her first win as head coach. Pearson finished the 2020-21 season 1-2. 

Fall 2021 season:  Point finished 14-16 and 10-10 in AAC play. The Skyhawks' most notable win came in their AAC opener against in-state rivals Reinhardt on Sept. 9. Point's season ended in the semifinal match of the AAC tournament to reigning co-AAC Champions, CIU. 

Fall 2022 Season: Point finished 13-16 and 9-11 in AAC Play. Gineris coached two all-conference players with Paige Lowe, a first-team all-conference player and All-Freshman team player, breaking the record for most assists in a single game with 49 Assists against Union College. Jordan Palmer was a 2nd team All-Conference player who tied fifth all-time for most digs in a match with 34. The Skyhawks' season ended against Union College in the first round of the AAC Tournament.  

Pearson, a native of Harris County, Georgia, graduated from Point in 2020 after transferring from the University of West Georgia in 2019. Pearson played three seasons at West Georgia before transferring to Point for her senior season. During Pearson’s senior year at Point, she was a member of the Skyhawks’ historic team that made program history by earning a trip to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in program history.
