CSC Announces Volleyball Academic All-District Teams

WEST POINT, Ga. (Dec. 12, 2023) - The College Sports Communicators announced the CSC Academic All-District for NCAA Levels of Division I, Division II, and Division III, along with announcing the teams for the NAIA Levels. On Tuesday, December 12 the Point University Volleyball team had three players make the list and one player who is eligible for Academic All-American. To be considered on this list, student-athletes are recognized for their performances on the court along with their work in the classroom, be at least a sophomore in their sport and academically, have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA, and compete in 90% of the institution's games. 

Point Volleyball saw Jordan Palmer, Ava Clay, and Claire Cordell earn a spot on the All-District team. This marks another academic achievement for the Volleyball team during the 2023-24 year. Jordan Palmer's case for her 4.0 GPA along with accolades on the court has made her eligible for being in the running to earn Academic All-American which could potentially be the first one in the program history. Earning a spot on the Academic All-District team is not an easy task when it comes to managing the grueling fall sport while maintaining being a top student in the classroom. The Skyhawks will now have more certificates coming their way with this honor.
