Point Volleyball highlights Eight Daktronics NAIA Volleyball Scholar-Athletes

WEST POINT, Ga. (Nov. 28, 2023) - The NAIA has released the list for the Daktronics NAIA Women's Volleyball Scholar-Athletes list. The criteria to be featured on this list are achieving a 3.5 Cumulative GPA or higher, appearing on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and having attended the institution for one full year. Point Volleyball had eight players who would make the list as Abigail Hardwick, Ava Clay, Caraline Jackson, Claire Cordell, Janie Marie Messer, Jordan Palmer, Kristina Faison, and Lexi Arter each made the list.

Point Volleyball produces talent on the court but also produces scholar-athletes in the classroom as each player who earned NAIA honors was also featured on the Southern States Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. For Point University, the golden standard of being the best means competing with the best but also making sure business in the classroom is taken care of. The hours in studying and high standards are paying off with this being the second Academic award for the team in their 12-12 (10-6 SSAC) season. Head Coach Faith Gineris knows what it takes for a great program with competitive players on the court but also knows how important it is to have players who understand the importance of being a student first.
