Volleyball drops AAC opener to Reinhardt

WALESKA, Ga. (Sept. 8, 2022) – The Point University volleyball team opened Appalachian Athletic Conference play Thursday evening at Reinhardt University and fell to the Eagles 3-0.

Play-by-play (15-25, 12-25, 23-25)

In the first set, Reinhardt took the lead out the gate, and despite the Skyhawks answering every point through the opening eight points, a 7-1 run by Reinhardt helped the Eagles take the lead 11-5, and the Skyhawks were unable to make up the distance. Point looked to avoid the sweep, as the Skyhawks led 19-16 in the third set, but the Eagles closed the match with a 9-4 run to secure the win in three sets.
