Women’s lacrosse falls to No. 5 Reinhardt in AAC opener

WALESKA, Ga. (Feb. 18, 2022) – The Point University women's lacrosse opened Appalachian Athletic Conference play Friday evening by traveling to face No. 5 Reinhardt University and fell to the Eagles 27-0.

Reinhardt opened Friday's contest with 11 goals in the first quarter, adding on five in the second quarter. In the second half, the Eagles scored seven goals in the third quarter and four in the final frame.

Reinhardt's defense did not allow the Skyhawks to take a shot, while the Eagles had 47 shots, 37 on goal. Nine different members of Reinhardt's squad scored goals, with Shelby O'Neil leading the way with seven goals. Kayla Bone made 10 saves for Point. Victoria Cortes and Destinie Claggion had three ground balls apiece.

Up next, the Skyhawks travel to play Webber International on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m.
