WEST POINT, Ga. (Aug. 4, 2023)- The Point University Women’s Golf team has released their schedule for the Fall of 2023. The Skyhawks look to return to the course on a mission, as the roster will have the experience of two seniors, six juniors, two sophomores, and two freshman. The Skyhawks open their fall season at the Point University Golf Club in Lanett, Alabama, to host the Point Invitational from September 8th through the 10th. The excitement for the Women’s Golf team hosting a home tournament will be through the roof since this will be the first home tournament for Point since September 10-11th, 2022. The last scheduled home tournament was canceled due to Inclement weather in March. The action continues as the Skyhawks look to build on their home meet by traveling to Athens, Alabama, for a Skyhawk Invitational at the Canebrake Golf Resort. The Women’s Golf team will continue their road trip as they take the trip to Tampa, Florida, for the Invite at Innisbrook with hopes of competing through each round. In the previous year, the tournament was cut 36 holes short due to the storms of Hurricane Ian. In October, the Women’s Golf team takes their talents to Henderson, Tennessee, to compete in the Freed Hardeman Invitational at the Chickasaw Golf Club on October 15-17. For the final tournament of the fall, the Skyhawks will travel to Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, for the Coqui Classic from October 29th through October 31st. With the experience of this team and Coach Boling leading the charge, there will be a lot of excitement surrounding the Skyhawks as Point looks to cement its place as one of the top teams.
