Women’s Golf places seventh at the AAC Championships

 GREENVILLE, Tenn. (Apr. 18, 2023)- The Point University women's Golf team returned to the course for the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships, where the Skyhawks finished in seventh place out of nine teams. 

Tournament Notes 

  • The Tournament was held at the Link Hills Golf and Country Club. 

  • The course was par 72 and 5,864 yards. 

  • Point finished with a tournament score of 724 and shot rounds of 367 and 357.

Conference Awards 

With the Golf Tournament wrapped up, this marked the final scheduled Golf Tournament for the women's golf team. The AAC announced the postseason conference awards, and the Skyhawks had four players who received postseason honors. Peyton Woody received the Champions of Character and appeared on the All-Academic Team. Alyssa Davis, Abigail Evans and Kiri Maddox were also named to the All-Academic Team.
