Women’s golf finishes third at TWU Spring Invite

NIOTA, Tenn. (April 5, 2022) – The Point University women's golf team competed in the 2022 TWU Spring Invite Monday and Tuesday at the Springbrook Golf and Country Club and finished third.

Tournament notes

• Point finished third out of eight teams with a total score of 682.
• Tennessee Wesleyan won the tournament with a score of 653, and Brenau finished second after shooting a 672.
• Bethel College finished fourth (689), Truett McConnell finished fifth (699), Bryan College finished sixth (713), John A. Logan CC finished seventh (720), and Montreat College finished eighth (733).

Individual finishes

• Fredricka Zetterblom earned medalist honors as she finished tied in second with a tournament score of 158 (14-over). She shot rounds of 80 and 78.
• Ana Aldana finished in eighth with rounds of 86 and 80 (22-over).
• Sofia Fousek finished tied in 20th with rounds of 87 and 91 (34-over).
• Peyton Woody finished tied in 23rd with rounds of 91 and 89 (36-over).
• Alyssa Davis finished in 41st (66-over).
