Haley Lyner earns AAC Softball Player of the Week

WEST POINT, Ga. (Feb. 20, 2023) - Haley Lyner was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference softball player of the week ending on Feb. 19.  

Lyner batted .381 and helped Point go 4-2 on the week. She drove six runs and scored on seven runs which included a walk-off SAC RBI in Game 1 against Clark Atlanta. Lyner also finished with two doubles, one stolen base, and tallied with one homerun while posting a .619 slugging percentage. Haley Lyner has proven herself as being a leader on this team that is not afraid of the big moments and looks to be a force when she is at bat this season. This is her first weekly honor this season.
