Pildner earns AAC player of the week

WEST POINT, Ga. (March 7, 2022) – For the first time in her career, Point University softball senior Meagan Pildner has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference player of the week. The league made the announcement Monday for the week ending March 6.

Pildner batted .626 and helped lead Point to a 5-1 record on the week. In game one against Bluefield this past Thursday, Pildner went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs to help the Skyhawks earn a 9-2 win.

Pildner drove in 10 runs and scored nine times on the week, as she recorded a hit in every game. Overall, she went 10-for-19 with one double and three homers.

Pildner and the Skyhawks will be back in action tomorrow, March 8, as Point travels to face Brewton-Parker College at 1 & 3 p.m.
