Men’s Soccer falls to Dalton State on the road
DALTON, Ga. (Oct. 22, 2023) - The Point University Men's Soccer team returned to the pitch for a Sunday afternoon Southern States Athletic Conference Matchup on the road at Dalton State where the Skyhawks fell to the Roadrunners 6-0.
The first half started Dalton's State offense getting early shots on goal to eventually set up their first goal to lead 1-0. The Roadrunners followed with another quick goal to extend the lead to 3-0. Point's offense would be unable to get going as the Skyhawks went into the break trailing by two,
The Skyhawks started the second half getting their early shot but would be unable to secure a goal past Dalton State. The momentum of the Roadrunners proved to overpower the Skyhawks as Dalton State added four more scores in the second half while shutting out the Skyhawks.

The Skyhawks took nine total shots with three on goal compared to Dalton State's 20 shots with 15 on goal. Brandon Cervantes and Jacob Ilmer each took a shot on goal for the Skyhawks. Callum Thompson made the start at goalkeeper where he finished with nine saves.
