Hwijun Cho earns SSAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

WEST POINT, Ga. (Oct. 9, 2023) - The Southern States Athletic Conference Announced Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors, where Hwijun Cho earned SSAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. 

The Junior from Cheogju, South Korea, helped the Skyhawks earn their first two wins on the season and in SSAC Play. Cho had a hat trick in assists, assisting all three goals that Point scored. In the following game against Middle Georgia, Cho scored the lone goal against the Knights to have Point win 1-0. Hwijun Cho is a player who gives 110% effort each time he steps on the field and has the trust of each coach that he will be reliant on doing his job. Cho mentioned, "I always look to win for the team." which proves he is about playing his role and being a contributor. For the offensive approach against Middle Georgia, he mentioned, "I tried to be aggressive in the game because it was 0-0, and we needed to score just one goal to win." This honor is his first weekly award of the season.
