Both teams came into the matchup with intentions, starting the game with ways to spoil the afternoon in the quickest way possible. Montreat took two quick shots on goal in the first six minutes, but Point's defense held their ground. The Cavaliers took the field in the second half with a mindset to attack constantly and struck gold within the first five minutes when they tied the game off a scored goal. The Skyhawks got off to a slow start by containing Montreat on offense as the Cavs continued taking their attempts at goal. The Cavaliers took their first lead of the game as they scored their second goal of the game to now lead 2-1. The Skyhawks held their composure as Fabian Saborio rallied the Point with their second-scored goal to tie the game 2-2.  Both teams attempted to try to steal a victory with a game-winning goal, but the match ended in a draw.
