Men’s soccer blanked by Montreat at home

WEST POINT, Ga. (Oct. 16, 2021) – The Point University men's soccer team hosted Montreat College Saturday afternoon inside River Bowl Stadium and fell to the Cavaliers 2-0 in Appalachian Athletic Conference play.

Montreat got on the board early with a goal in the 29th minute, but the Skyhawks kept them scoreless for the remainder of the half. The Cavs would extend their lead out after the half with another goal in the 76th minute, and the Skyhawks were unable to make a comeback. Montreat outshot Point 14-10.

Jeronimo Leguizamon took six of Point's 10 shots.

Up next, the Skyhawks will look to hand Columbia International its first loss of the season, as the Skyhawks host the Rams in an AAC matchup at River Bowl Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 20. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
