Leguizamon collects second player of the week award this season

WEST POINT, Ga. (Oct. 11, 2021) – Point University men's soccer forward Jeronimo Leguizamon has collected his second Appalachian Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week Award this season following his performance on Saturday in the team's 9-0 win over Johnson, the conference announced Monday.

Leguizamon, who leads the AAC with 10 goals on the season so far, scored five goals in Saturday's match, setting a new school record for most goals scored in a single game. The sophomore took 15 shots with 10 on frame.

This is the second time this season that Leguizamon has collected this honor. The sophomore was named as the AAC's Offensive Player of the Week back on Sept. 20.

The Skyhawks return to action this Wednesday as they host Middle Georgia State. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
