Men's lacrosse drops AAC matchup to SCAD Savannah

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (March 20, 2021) – The Point University men's lacrosse team traveled to play SCAD Savannah on Saturday and fell to the Bees 27-5 in an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup.

SCAD (2-0, 2-0 AAC) scored the first three goals of the game before Jassiem Josse got Point on the board with a goal halfway through the first quarter. That was the only goal SCAD would allow for the rest of the quarter, as the Bees went on to score five more goals. In the second quarter, Conan Hochburger and Josse each scored a goal in the closing minutes of the half. The Skyhawks trailed the Bees 19-3, entering the third quarter.

Josse scored Point's fourth goal in the third quarter and John Allen scored Point's fifth goal of the night in the fourth. The Skyhawks limited SCAD to only six goals in the second half, with six in the third and two in the fourth.

Up next, Point will host No. 1 Reinhardt University on Tuesday, March 23, inside River Bowl Stadium at 3 p.m.
