Dominik Wolf’s outstanding weekend earns him SSAC Men’s Golfer of the Week

WEST POINT, Ga. (Sept. 12, 2023) - The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the Men’s and Women’s Golfer of the Week, where Dominik Wolf was named the SSAC Men’s Golfer of the Week. 

The Junior from Berlin, Germany, competed in the Skyhawk Fall Invitational to start the 2023-24 season, where he was the individual champion with a seven-under 135 shooting round of 70 and 65 with a total of 110 golfers. His round of 65 was his best individual round at the collegiate level. Wolf was one of the six golfers who competed at the 2023 NAIA National Championships for the Point Men’s Golf program, where the Skyhawks finished with a T11 out of 18 finish. Wolf made a late push to be able to compete for Nationals, so winning this honor to start the new season comes as no surprise for Men’s Golf Head Coach Maddux Lytle. Lytle knows the work his players put in daily, and for Wolf, he has said that “he is deserving of this award.” After it was announced that Wolf was the individual champion on Sunday at the Skyhawk Invitational, Wolf took time to share it with his parents from home on Facetime before joining Skyhawk Sports Network for a post-interview. This is his first weekly honor of the season.
