Jake Smith’s floor general ways earns him AAC Men’s Basketball Player of the week

WEST POINT, Ga. (Dec. 19, 2022) - Jake Smith was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference men’s basketball player of the week for the week ending Dec. 18. 

The senior from Lakeland, Fla., finished with a double-double of 18 Points and 11 assists. Smith also finished with nine rebounds, one steal and one block in the double overtime win over the CIU Rams. Smith has helped the Skyhawks get the team rolling, as they are currently on a four-game winning streak. He has become a reliable option on the offensive end with his flashy passes and high IQ on the court. Smith already has tallied two triple-doubles on the season as well. This is his first weekly honor of the season.
