Point Women’s Flag Football releases their 2024 Schedule
WEST POINT, Ga. (Jan. 25, 2024) - The Point University Women’s Flag Football team has a lot of anticipation surrounding the Inaugural season as the Skyhawks look to make history with having their first official season under Head Coach Theseus Jackson.
Coach Jackson has been a man on a mission to add players that fit the mold of winning as he is a proven winner in the Flag Football world with hopes of bringing that same identity to Point University. The Skyhawks are slated to have a mix of young players who are beginning their college careers as Flag Football players along with experienced players who bring grit and will to compete every play.
In 28 days, The Women’s Flag Football team will take the field for their first official game in Marietta, Georgia against Life University. Fans within Skyhawk Nation will not have to wait much longer to see the Skyhawks at the River Bowl Stadium as two days later Point will take on Campbellsville and Milligan on Saturday, February 24th. The homestand continues as Point takes on Sun Conference opponent Keiser University to end their slate of February games.
The Month of March will open with Flag Football and will see the Skyhawks travel the whole month as Point opens at the Georgia Invitational on the 15th and 16th. Point will add to their travel journey to take on Warner and Webber International to the end of the month.
The following month of April will see the Skyhawks open the month back in their home state when Flag Football travels to Thomasville, Georgia for a game against the Nighthawks. The road stand will slow after Point takes on Florida Gateway and Fort Lauderdale on April 6th. The following three games will be hosted at the River Bowl Stadium with many opportunities to see the growth of the team as Point hosts Florida Memorial and St. Thomas on April 11th and 13th. The Skyhawks will have their final regular season game before the Sun Conference Championships as Point travels to Waleska, Georgia to take on Reinhardt University on April 20th.
