They Said It

Jaunelle White, Point Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics: "First, I want to thank former Commissioner John Sullivan and current Commissioner Bill Popp for welcoming us to the NAIA and Appalachian Athletic Conference 11 years ago.  We look forward to continuing to serve alongside the AAC. Point Athletics is elated to begin a new era of excellence in the Southern States Athletic Conference. We are excited about working closely with Commissioner Mike Hall, the staff, and the membership to provide first-class opportunities and experiences for our student-athletes and coaches."

Mike Hall, SSAC Commissioner: "We are all very excited to have Point University join the SSAC next year. The SSAC has significantly tightened its geographic footprint, and Point University is right in the middle of the conference, allowing their Skyhawk fans to attend more regular season and conference championship events. Most of our schools already compete against Point, and now being in the same conference will definitely spur on some natural rivalries. We are grateful to President Collins and Vice President Jaunelle White for their confidence in the SSAC."

Dean Collins, Point President: "Point is looking forward to joining the SSAC and continuing to grow in competitive competition. The values and mission of the conference aligns with what our university stands for, and I'm looking forward to the journey ahead for our athletic department."
