Skyhawks Shutout Bears in Final Home Game

WEST POINT, GA (April 16, 2025) In the final home game of the regular season, the Skyhawks Baseball Team shuts out the Truett McConnell Bears 5-0.

The shutout game started strong with Pitcher Houston Wedgeworth who went 7 1/3 innings with 5 strikeouts. His strength led the energy, and along came the offense. With four doubles and a triple, the bats were hot by Daniel Gonzalez, Arwin Burgos, Chris Mancill, Jaysen Dower and Sam Baker.  Rafael Jackson contributed two RBIs to knock in the third and fifth run.

This game closed out the home schedule for the Skyhawks. Their last regular season series is against Thomas University on Friday April 18 and Saturday April 19 in Thomasville, GA. They will play a 6pm game Friday and a double header starting at 1pm on Saturday.
