Women’s Soccer adds Postseason Honors to their Storied Program

WEST POINT, Ga. (Nov. 6, 2024) - The Southern States Athletic Conference has announced postseason honors where the Point Women's Soccer team was featured in honors such as All-Freshman Team, Champions of Character, and All-Academic.

All-Freshman Team: Isabella Frullaney

The Freshman from Columbus, Georgia came into the season as a true freshman who wanted to live up to the expectations of turning the page for the team. Frullaney led the team with eight scored goals while adding five assists. Frullaney had many big moments during the season that included a game-tying goal versus Lagrange, two scored goals against ABAC, and a goal against Faulkner which kept the Skyhawks in the match with postseason hopes on the line. This honor should not be taken lightly as the Southern States Athletic Conference is a league where players must bring it each time they step onto the field. To be on this list shows that Isabella Frullaney has a bright career ahead as she continues to grow with the Skyhawks.

All-Freshman Team: Mia Bonner

The Freshman from Villa Rica, Georgia was highly thought of as a player who could immediately impact the Skyhawks in their second year in the SSAC. Bonner showed great knowledge and growth of the game under the leadership of Randy Douglas, Rocio Carrizales, and Erica Burkhardt. This was displayed as Bonner started in nine of out 15 matches scored one goal and had an assist on the season. Offensive firepower was something that the Women's soccer focused heavily on throughout the season and Bonner bought into the plan as she was not afraid to take her shots on goal. Bonner can now add her first accolade to her resume in her Skyhawk career as one of the 14 members of the All-Freshman Team.

Champions of Character: Brooke Wiseley

The Senior from Sharpsburg, Georgia has earned a Champions of Character award to her resume as she exemplified the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. Wiseley started in all 16 matches she appeared in and added four goals with three assists. Wiseley knew how to motivate her teammates and instill confidence in everyone around her. Wiseley played a major role in the turnaround season for the Women's Soccer team and her attitude toward the game has not gone unnoticed. Brooke Wiseley can add another memory to her Senior Season as she adds a Champions of Character Award to her resume.
