Point Women’s Soccer Caught in the Rams’ Stampede

MOBILE, Ala. (Oct. 19, 2024)—The Point University Women's Soccer team returned to the pitch for a Southern States Athletic Conference match against Mobile. The Skyhawks fell to the Rams with a final score of 3-0. 

Alyssa Bennett set the tone for the Skyhawks as she attempted the game's first shot. Mobile bounced off the energy and took four shots, but Lisa Kelm did not fail to get her hands on the ball with four consecutive saves. Despite the amazing effort, the Rams scored two goals at the end of the first half. The Skyhawks had a good defense, but Mobile made their third goal. Bailey Turner looked to push for an opportunity to score but could not convert. The Skyhawks continue fighting, but the game results in a final score of 3-0. 

In the Box:

Mobile had 23 total shots with 10 on goal, compared to Point, who had six and two on goal. Lisa Kelm, in goal, made seven saves.
