Women’s Soccer Soars past Brewton-Parker in Home SSAC Play
WEST POINT, Ga (Sept. 21, 2024)- The Point University Women's Soccer team returned to the pitch for the second Southern States Athletic Conference match against Brewton-Parker College where the Skyhawks shut out the Barons with the final score of 5-0.
The Skyhawks opened the first half with Bailey Turner scoring back-to-back goals with one being assisted by Isabella Frullaney and the other being Mia Bonner. After the hot start in the first few minutes of the first half, it slowed down, ending 2-0. At the beginning of the second half, the Skyhawks turned the heat back on scoring three more goals from Brooke Wiseley, Isabella Frullaney, and Naomi Tilley totaling the final score of 5-0.

Point had 21 total shots with 15 on goal compared to Brewton-Parker's nine shots with five on goal. Bailey Turner led the Skyhawks with two goals and Brooke Wiseley, Isabella Frulaney, and Naomi Tilley scored one goal. Lisa Kelm started the shutout with three saves and Jaynee Malcolm finished the shutout with two saves.
