Women’s Soccer fall short in tight AAC Matchup versus Milligan

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (Sept. 17, 2022) - The Point University women's soccer team traveled to Milligan University for an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup and fell 1-0.

The tight matchup started with both teams being aggressive on the offensive end by taking a few quick shots on goal to start the match. Although the strategy for the offense was strong by both respective opponents, both teams stood their ground on defense, and the game remained scoreless going into the half.

Coming into the second half, both teams continued their discipline on defense by not allowing either opponent to get the upper hand. Milligan would finally score the first goal of the game to take the lead 1-0. After that goal, the Skyhawks would take three more shots at goal as the match neared the ending but would not be able to capitalize on the scoring opportunities.
