The Skyhawks started the match with a fiery edge on the offensive end by taking some quick shots on goal in the first minute of play. The Skyhawks continued to make a statement on the offensive end when Jenna Loewen assisted Esperanza Aguilar on a goal to extend the lead to 3-0. A minute later, the Knights found their way on the scoreboard to bring the score to 3-1. The rest of the match saw the Skyhawks increase their intensity on defense and win the match.

Point took 14 shots with three on goal as Keiry Bonilla, Lorelei Lewis, and Esperanza Aguilar each had a goal of their own. The goals made by Lewis and Aguilar marked their first collegiate career goals.  Karina Quiroz had three saves and picked up her first career win as a goalkeeper.
