Point Women's Golf Finishes in 5th Place at the SSAC Championships

GREENVILLE, Ala. (April 14-16, 2025) - The Point Women's Golf Team competed in the 2025 SSAC Women's Golf Championship, where the Skyhawks finished in fifth place out of eight teams.      

Tournament Notes      

• The tournament was held at the RTJ Golf Trail at Cambrian Ridge, where the Southern States Athletic Conference served as the host.        

• Point finished with a tournament score of 994 and shot rounds of 337, 325, and 332.

• Fredrika Zetterblom: 11th |+21| Rounds: 83, 78, 76     

• Sydney Ormsby: T16 |+27| Rounds: 80, 78, 85    

• Eryn Blakely: T26 |+36| Rounds: 85, 86, 81   

• Kayla Silvers: T34 |+46| Rounds: 89, 83, 90  

• Maggie Green: 43rd |+95| Rounds: 95, 102, 114     

Important Notes: 

• Kayla Silvers won the Champions of Character Award 

• Paulina Villavicencio, Kayla Silvers, Lexi Raiford, Eryn Blakely, and Shelby Oldham won All-Academic.  

• Point Women's Golf won the Team Sportsmanship Award among each team in the SSAC

The Women's Golf team has completed the 2024-25 season and will enter their third year in the Southern States Athletic Conference in the 2025-26 season.
