
Point University Women's Basketball Narrowly Defeated in Conference Clash Against Thomas University
Thomasville, Ga. ( Jan. 25, 2025) - The Point University Women's Basketball team returned to the hardwood in a fiercely contested Southern States Athletic Conference battle and were narrowly defeated by the Thomas University Nighthawks the final score was 72-65.
The Skyhawks had gone into the halftime break with a promising lead of 36-25, showcasing their dominance early in the game. Jada Williams led the charge in the first half with 11 points. As the second half began Zaria Johnson and Antonia Pittman started adding to the scoring column to attempt to keep the lead. However, the tables turned later in the second half as the Nighthawks managed to outscore and eventually secure the win, 72-65.

Jada Williams led the team with 28 points and five steals. Antonia Pittman followed with 18 points and three assist. Zaria Johnson contributed to the scoring column as well with 11 points.
