Skyhawks Triumph Over Gents in a Dynamic Non-Conference Lacrosse Face-off

SHREVEPORT, La. (March 12th, 2025) - In a thrilling non-conference lacrosse face-off the Point University Skyhawks dominated Centenary College, clinching a 20-13 victory. The Skyhawks, led by a spectacular performance from Thomas Van Alstine who scored six goals, managed to secure the win against the Gents. 
 
The game kicked off with intense competition, but by halftime, the Skyhawks had taken a solid lead with a score of 9-5. This early lead was crucial and set the tone for the rest of the game. Key players for Point University included Malyke Sillers and Aaron Mordarski, netting four goals each, and Shaun McLaughlin, who not only scored three times but also contributed four assists. Rodney Oakley and Mitchell Gossett also played pivotal roles with multiple assists. 
 
Goalie Aaron Robinson played a crucial part in the defense, contributing significantly to the Skyhawks' victory. The game-winning goal came from Thomas Van Alstine, marking a standout moment in the match.

Thomas Van Alstine had six goals, Malyke Sillers had four goals and 12 groundballs, Aaron Mordarski earned four goals, and Shaun McLaughlin had three goals and four assists. Aaron Robinson, as goalie, had eight saves and Malyke Sillers won 24 faceoffs.
