
Point Men's Lacrosse Faces Setback Against Madonna Crusaders
WEST POINT, Ga. (March 6th, 2025) - In a challenging non-conference lacrosse game, the Point University Skyhawks were outpaced by the Madonna Crusaders, with a final score of 19-10 favoring Madonna. The Skyhawks, playing at their home turf, faced a tough opponent and showed resilience despite the outcome.
The game kicked off with Madonna taking an early lead and maintaining it throughout the first half. By halftime, the scoreboard read Madonna 10, Point 4. The Skyhawks, known for their tenacity, attempted a comeback in the second half but were unable to close the gap significantly.
Key players for Point University included Malyke Sillers, who scored four goals, and Thomas Van Alstine, who added another three, showcasing their offensive skills. Shaun McLaughlin also contributed significantly with two goals and an assist. Rodney Oakley, apart from scoring a goal, assisted twice, indicating his versatile playmaking capabilities. Additionally, Jamison Cross and Aaron Mordarski lent support with assists, further showcasing the team's collaborative efforts.
