
Point Men’s Lacrosse releases their 2025 Schedule
WEST POINT, Ga. (Dec. 27, 2024) - The Point University Men's Lacrosse team has released their schedule ahead of the 2025 season. The Skyhawks are coming off an 8-10 (3-6 AAC) season, their highest win total since 2017. The Men's Lacrosse team appeared in the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament where Webber International University ended their season. The Men's Lacrosse team will be led by Head Coach, Jordan Coates who enters his fifth season at the helm. Coates will have additional help on the sidelines as former Point Men's Lacrosse Players, Jeff Knapp and Jack Koenn will join the staff as the assistant coaches. The Men's Lacrosse team will enter the season with 13 returning players and eight newcomers. Point looks to bring their experience and add another season with potential postseason implications to make a run for the National Championship.
The Skyhawks will open their season in February on the road with two nonconference games in Brookhaven, Georgia, and Montgomery, Alabama as the Skyhawks take on NCAA Division III Opponents, Oglethorpe University and Huntington College. The Men's Lacrosse team will open home play at the River Bowl after Valentine's Day with an AAC Showdown against Tennessee Wesleyan University. Point will return to road play with a matchup against Keiser University where the Skyhawks look to face a big test against a top Nationally ranked team in the country. The Skyhawks will round off the month of February with a crosstown battle of Troup County against NCAA Division III, Lagrange College.
Point opens March with two consecutive matchups at home with one being an AAC Matchup against SCAD Savannah and a nonconference battle against Madonna University. The action will continue as the Men's Lacrosse hits the road for a non-conference battle against NCAA Division II, Shorter University. The month will round off with the Skyhawks returning to AAC Play with two road games in North Carolina and one home game which features matchups against St. Andrews and Montreat. Their home matchup will feature a showdown against the University of the Cumberlands. April will open with an extensive trip to Babson Park, Florida as the Skyhawks will take on Webber International. Point will end the regular season with two home games against Life University and Reinhardt University. The Men's Lacrosse team will have many big tests to show what they are made of as their road to the postseason begins in February.
