Men’s Lacrosse falls to #5 Webber on the road

BABSON PARK, Fla. (March 24, 2023)- The Point University Men's Lacrosse team continued their trip in Florida as the Skyhawks took on the #5 ranked Webber International University Warriors in an AAC Matchup with the Warriors winning 26-4.

Webber started the game by jumping on the scoreboard with the first four scores in the first three minutes into regulation. Point's defense looked to lock in and create some offense of their own, but the Warriors' momentum proved too much as Webber went on a 6-0 run as they looked to end the first quarter. Jeff Knapp did not let the first quarter ended on Webber's terms as he shot the buzzer-beating goal to end any chances of a shutout for the Warriors.

The second period started with the Warriors continuing their fast offensive approach, resulting in the first three scores going to Webber. Malyke Sillers halted the run from Webber as he scored the second goal for the Skyhawks. Webber returned the favor by adding fuel to the fire by cutting the following four goals to end the first half with a 17-2 lead. Jeff Knapp started the third period with Point's third scored goal. The Skyhawks looked to charge their way back into the game, but the defense of the Warriors did not allow Point to achieve another goal in the quarter. Webber scored five more to end the quarter with a 22-3 lead.

Jeff Knapp started the fourth quarter by responding with a goal for the Skyhawks. That goal from the Skyhawks would be the final score for Point as Webber rallied with four goals in the final period to take the win 26-4. This game marks the last game in March for Point as they look to finish the season's home stretch with games left.
