Men’s Lacrosse unable to take down #1 Keiser on the road

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Mar. 22, 2023)- The Point University returned on Wednesday for an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup against the #1 ranked Keiser University, where the Skyhawks fell 25-1.

The Seahawks started the matchup by making quick work by scoring their first goals in the opening three minutes of the game. Point's defense looked to bring the scoring to a halt in the first period, but the Seahawks tacked on three more scores to end the first quarter with a 5-0 lead.

The offensive production from Keiser continued to prove dividends as the Seahawks had an answer for anything the Skyhawks threw their way. Keiser would add eight goals in the second quarter, bringing their lead to 13-0 at halftime. Point's offense could not move the needle, which had them remain scoreless at the half—the third quarter started with the Seahawks continuing their offensive production by scoring their first goal in the first minute of the half. Point's defense put the scoring on hold from Keiser until the 3:51 mark, where the Seahawks went on a 4-0 run to end the period.

The start of the fourth quarter was a different occasion as Jamison Cross added the first score for the Skyhawks to help avoid any hopes of a shutout from Keiser. The Seahawks did not allow any more scores from Point and would add seven more goals to win the battle 25-1.
