
Point Men's Basketball End their Season with a Tough Loss Against Dalton State
DALTON, Ga. (Feb. 20th, 2025) - In a challenging Southern States Athletic Conference game, the Point University Men's Basketball team suffered a significant defeat against the Dalton State Roadrunners with a final score of 106-59.
The Skyhawks struggled to match the intensity of the Roadrunners, who took an early lead and never looked back. By halftime, the score read 49-22 in favor of Dalton State, setting a tough stage for the Skyhawks to make a comeback. Despite the efforts of Vince Graves, who led Point University with 24 points, and the defensive contributions from Antwon Ferrell with 8 rebounds, the Skyhawks were unable to close the gap.
Mike Evans also put up a notable performance with 13 points in addition to managing 2 steals, showcasing his all-around gameplay. Antwon Ferrell, alongside his defensive rebounds, also added 10 points to the team's total, proving vital under the boards.
Despite the challenging gameplay, Point University exhibited moments of potential, particularly in the offensive push by Vince Graves. His efforts, however, were overshadowed by the overwhelming control and offensive prowess demonstrated by Dalton State throughout the game.
