
Point University Skyhawks Narrowly Lose to Thomas University Nighthawks in Conference Clash
Thomasville, Ga. (Jan. 25th, 2025) - In a tightly contested Southern States Athletic Conference battle, the Point University Skyhawks faced a narrow defeat against the Thomas University Nighthawks. The final score stood at 72-67, despite a valiant effort from the Skyhawks in the second half.
The game started with the Nighthawks establishing a solid lead by halftime, with a score of 27-15. The Skyhawks, however, did not let this early setback dictate the remainder of the contest. Under the leadership of their top scorer Vince Graves, who managed a remarkable 24 points, Point University rallied impressively after the break. With eight minutes left in the game, the score was favoring the Nighthawks 56-40, but Point closed the gap significantly towards the last minutes of the game. Tanner Higgins ended the match with a 3-pointer, but the Nighthawks managed to maintain their lead and secure the victory at 72-67.
