Skyhawks Slayed by the Crusaders

WEST POINT, Ga. (Jan. 9th, 2025) - The Point University Men's basketball team returned to the court for a Southern States Athletic Conference matchup against William Carey that ended with the Skyhawks falling to the Crusaders with a final score of 77-59. 

Antwon Ferell kicked off the game with a 3-pointer assisted by Obrien Watkins, but the Crusaders followed with their own plays bringing them to the lead for the rest of the game. The Skyhawks still kept up in the first half with strong efforts from Jacob Crockett, but the half ended with a ten-point score gap at 38-28.

During the second half, both teams traded baskets, however, the Skyhawks could not keep up with the Crusaders despite both Antwon Ferrell and Vince Graves efforts to lessen the gap. The game ended in a final score of 77-59. 

In the Box:

Antwon Ferrell led with 14 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Vince Graves added 12 points, four rebounds, and one block, and Jacob Crockett followed with 10 points, one rebound, and one block.
