Visual Pregame Timeline on Saturday, Sept. 28 for the Battle of I-85

 

Date: Saturday, September 28, 2024 

Theme: Gold Rush Night (All Gold) *First 100 Fans will get Gold Cowbells from the front Ticket Gate) 

The Theme will also be the Battle of I-85 against Faulkner University where the Winner will take home the Belt as agreed upon by Both Head Coaches.

Time of Skyhawk Walk: 4:55 P.M.  

The Skyhawk Walk will begin at 4:55 P.M. on Saturday, September 28. We encourage fans to be loud, take photos, make memories, and be part of the Experience with Point University Football.  

Fans and Family attending the walk: We encourage everyone to line up on either side of the road and keep it spread out throughout the road so fans can enjoy the entire walk! 

Location: Outside of the Point University Valley Field House (Ram Stadium Dr. Valley, Alabama 36854) 

 

Visual Example: This is an example of the Cheer Team and our Mascot lining up on one of the sides of the road to greet the Football team through the Skyhawk Walk as they make their way to the stadium.  

 

The goal of the Skyhawk Walk is to create more of a Collegiate Gameday Experience for the Players and the Fans in attendance. 

 

Time of Pregame Prayer: 5:00 P.M. 

Location: Inside of the Ram Stadium 

The Pregame Prayer is where the team does fellowship and pray with each other before it is time to warm up!

Time of Ticket Gates Opening: 5:30 P.M. 

The main ticket gate will be where your ticket for the game can be scanned electronically. This will also be the location where the Gold Cowbells will be handed out. Reminder, the first 100 Fans who enter through the ticket gate will receive a Gold Cowbell!

Time for Warm-ups to Begin: 5:30 P.M. 

Location: Ram Stadium 

During this time, this is where all players will begin warming up on the field and the 90-minute mark on the clock will start.

Time of Officials Meeting with Coaches and Game Crew: 5:40-5:55 P.M.  

During this time, the officials will meet with the Game Crew, Chain Crew, and Coaches. 

Time of Teams leaving the Field from Warm-ups: 6:10-6:20 P.M. 

Teams will return to their locker rooms for pregame preparation until they are requested back on the field. 

Time of PA Announcer Welcome: 6:35 P.M. 

At this time, The PA Announcer will welcome everyone at the Stadium and start doing the Pregame Reads.  

Time of Prayer and Invocation: 6:45 P.M.: During this time, the pregame Prayer will occur, and the National Anthem will follow.

Time of Captains Entering the Field: 6:53 P.M. 

During this time, the captains will be requested from their respective locker rooms to prepare for the Coin Toss. 

Visual Example: Adam Sanders, Key Larkin, Promise Williams, and Jarrod Posey being called from the Locker Room as the Team Captains during the Lindsey Wilson College game.  

 

Time of Teams to leave their respective Locker Rooms: 6:55 P.M. 

During this time, both teams will leave their locker rooms to run out to their respective sidelines.

Time of Kickoff: 7:00 P.M. 

During this time, the Battle of I-85 will begin!
