Randa Tucker named as the new Head Cheer Coach at Point University

WEST POINT, Ga. (Aug. 10, 2023) - The Point University Athletic Department has announced the appointment of Randa Tucker as the Head Cheerleading Coach at Point University. Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics, Jaunelle White, expressed her excitement about bringing Coach Tucker into Skyhawk Nation and how the expertise of Coach Tucker made it an excellent choice for the program. “We are excited to welcome Coach Tucker to the Skyhawk Family!” White shared. “We had an excellent pool of candidates; however, Coach Tucker’s experience, expertise, and faith journey rose to the top! I believe great things are on the horizon for our Competitive Cheer program!” 

Randa Tucker is a native of Highland Home, Alabama, where she attended Highland Home School earning various awards. While studying Sports Management, she went on to cheer at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama.  

Tucker joins Point Athletics with experience coaching cheer at the junior high and high school level in Montgomery, Alabama, and competitive level in Opelika, Alabama. Coach Tucker has started to settle into her role as she has already met her team and looks forward to pushing them to the next level for a potential conference title in the 2023-24 Season. With the passion that she has come into West Point with, the Randa Tucker era looks to be a great way to catapult the Skyhawks back into Conference Champion fashion, along with working their talents throughout the year to help lead the team to push their third NAIA National Championship appearance.
