Point University Baseball Secures Convincing Victory Over Truett McConnell

CLEVELAND, GA (March 11, 2025)- In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, the Point University Skyhawks baseball team triumphed over the Truett McConnell Bears on March 11, 2025. The Skyhawks showcased their prowess in a decisive 9-3 victory.

Leading the charge for Point University was Daniel Gonzalez, with four hits to include a home run! The offensive efforts were equally bolstered by Sam Baker and Arwin Burgos, who each contributed two runs. Rafael Jackson, Jaden Mazzaferro, and Brady Bye also made notable contributions, with Jackson and Mazzaferro each driving in a run and Bye adding to the scoreboard as well.

The Skyhawks' pitching was a true team effort on Tuesday, leaving the Bears no opportunity to score after the first inning. Coming out of the bullpen, Michael Underwood, Houston Wedgeworth, Brody Hill, Jacob Rossi, Carson Curry and Elijah Dunbar got the job done.

Point University will head into a SSAC 3-game series against the University of Tennessee Southern where they hope to extend their winning momentum back on their home field. Game 1 will be played on Thursday, March 13th at 4pm, followed by a double header on Friday, starting at 1pm in West Point, GA
