Competitive cheer finishes 11th at NAIA Competitive Cheer Championship

YPSILANTI, Mich. (March 12, 2022) – The Point University competitive cheer team competed in the final round of the sixth annual NAIA Competitive Cheer Championship Saturday morning and earned a score of 81.17 to combine with yesterday's preliminary round score of 80.47 to finish with an overall score of 80.99.

Point's overall score earned them an 11th place finish out of 15 teams. Point finished the preliminary round in 10th. The preliminary performance accounted for 25% of the team's total score and the final competition accounted for the other 75%.

Xavier University (La.) won the championship with an overall score of 93.70, the highest point total in championship history.
