Bio

Jake Hom is in his second year serving as an assistant coach for the Point Skyhawks, focusing on hitters and infielders while aiding in recruitment. In 2023-24, he served as the Defensive Coordinator at Montana State University Billings, where his efforts led to nine All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference selections. He also worked with the Billings Mustangs of the MLB-partnered Pioneer League.

Previously, Hom coached at Holy Names University from 2021 to 2023, achieving record-breaking offensive performance and guiding the team to its first postseason. He also coordinated the defense at Los Medanos College, contributing to the program’s Bay Valley Conference championships (2019-2021), and 2019 super-regional victories.

As a player, Hom excelled at Briar Cliff University, leading the team in batting average and RBIs, and was an All-Conference selection. He began his playing career at Los Medanos College, earning All-Conference and All-California honors.

Hom holds degrees in Criminology and Administration of Justice and is pursuing a master’s degree in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology. A Bay Area native, he now resides in Columbus, GA with his wife, Darien, and their two Labradors, Tucker and Tank.
