Skyhawks Fly By Florida College

WEST POINT, Ga. - The Point University Skyhawks defeated Florida College 6-1 on Thursday.

The Falcons had a hard time keeping possession of the ball on the road and were only able to attempt seven total shots throughout the match, with four on goal. Point made their way onto the board first with an unassisted goal by Jacob Illmer in the 12th minute followed by the Falcons' sole goal of the day by Jhon Solis in the 15th. The Skyhawks closed out the first half with another goal to push the score to 2-1. 

The second half brought three separate opportunities for Skyhawk Tommy Eskew to score to secure a hat-trick in the match, with each goal within a minute of each other. Points' Diogo Palhoto finished off the Skyhawk's scoring streak with the final goal of the match to secure the 6-1 win over Florida College.

Point took 17 total shots throughout the match, with eight on goal. Goalkeeper Markus Sundin posted two saves compared to Skyhawk Callum Thompson who had three. 

This loss puts the Falcons at a 5-8-1 record on the season.
