Jordan Palmer earns AAC Defender of the Week Honors

WEST POINT, Ga. (Oct. 10, 2022) - Jordan Palmer of the Point University volleyball team has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Defender of the Week for the week ending Oct. 7.  

The Senior from Statesboro, Georgia, currently averages 6.29 Digs per set in conference play and her competitive spirit on the defensive end helped the Skyhawks go 2-1 on the week. 

Palmer posted a week-high of 34 digs in a 3-2 victory over Brenau University on Tuesday, Oct. 4.  

For the whole week, she had 74 digs and 8 assists. Palmer now sits fifth in the AAC in total digs, with 361 so far.  

This is her first weekly honor. 

The Skyhawks will return to the court in a road matchup against Truett McConnell University on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 6:30 p.m.
