WEST POINT, Ga. (Mar. 21, 2024) - The Point University Athletic Department has officially announced the Inaugural Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The induction ceremony will occur on Friday, April 26th at 11:30 A.M. at the Band Building on 711 4th Ave, West Point, Georgia. The inductees of the Inaugural Class will be Scott Gregory (Men’s Basketball), Carlton Griffin (Men’s Basketball), Courtney Lowery (Women’s Golf), Angela Mulkey Alfaro (Women’s Soccer), David Strickland (Football), and Tory Wooley (Men’s Basketball). Tickets for the Hall of Fame Luncheon are on sale now for $25 at https://pointskyhawks.com/information/tickets. The cutoff to purchase tickets will be on Wednesday, April 10th.

WEST POINT, Ga. (Mar. 4, 2024) - The Point University Men’s and Women’s Swim team will be representing the institution at the NAIA National Championships which will take place at the Columbus Aquatic Center in Columbus, Georgia. The dates for the meet will begin on Wednesday, March 6th, and wrap up on Saturday, March 9th. Point University Swim will have three swimmers who will represent the Skyhawks for Nationals. The swimmers will be Teagan Jose, Madison Akbari, and Yurri Prokopchuk.

The purpose of bringing the Hall of Fame into a historic institution is to celebrate the student-athletes, coaches, and administrators who paved the way at Atlanta Christian College (ACC) and Point University.

CSC Announces Soccer Academic All-District Teams

WEST POINT, Ga. (Nov. 21, 2023) - The College Sports Communicators announced the CSC Academic All-District for NCAA Levels of Division I, Division II, and Division III, along with announcing the teams for the NAIA levels. On Tuesday, November 21st the Point University Men’s and Women’s soccer teams had seven total players between both teams make the list. To be considered for this list, student-athletes are recognized for their performances on the field in the classroom, be at least a sophomore in the classroom and academically, have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA, and competed in 90% of the institution’s games.

WEST POINT, Ga. (Oct. 24, 2023) - Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Jaunelle White was recently added to the NAIA-ADA board as a representative for the Southern States Athletic Conference. White is a well-respected leader at Point University as she has taken on her third academic year leading the Athletic Department.

Point University named a Champions of Character Five-Star Gold Institution for the first time in school history

WEST POINT, Ga. (Aug. 18, 2023) - The NAIA announced each Champions of Character Five-star institution for Bronze, Silver, and Gold on Tuesday, August 15. For an institution to receive Five-star honors, they are measured on the commitment to Champions of Character and receive points with character, actions conducted during competition, academics, character recognition, and character promotions. The Skyhawks had their highest departmental GPA in school history and did not receive an ejection during a sporting event in 2022-23.
